One of the first memories I had as a child was a paranormal experience. My great-grandmother, who I had a great relationship with, was not expected to live much longer. In those days the family members used to sit around the bedside and wait for the person to pass away. While the adults were gathered at my great-grandparents house I was at my Aunt’s house with my sister and cousins. I saw my great-grandmother walk in the front door and come over to me. She patted me on the shoulder and said everything will be okay. Within the hour my mother came in and told me that she had passed away. I remember being thankful that she had come to visit me before her passing. I wasn’t scared, I was grateful. The paranormal has never been scary to me. My greatest desire is to be of help when people are going through things that cannot be explained.

I became interested in the paranormal when I was staying at a really old hotel in Belgium. Two of us were washing our clothes in the bathroom sink and watched in the mirror as the locked bedroom door swung slowly open and then slowly closed. We ran out of the bathroom and opened the door. No one was in the long hallway in either direction. Later, when we went to visit our friend, he’d had his own experience. Someone opened his locked door and he actually saw a hand on the door knob with black fabric and lace on the wrist. The door also shut and no one was outside when our friend checked. That started my whole quest for the paranormal! Since then, I’ve seen, felt, photographed, videotaped and heard so many unexplainable things that it’s incredible. There are normal, everyday people out there who are going through their own paranormal events and I’d like to help them validate/debunk their unexplained experiences.

With many family and friends who have passed in recent years, I’d like answers to what’s beyond. Various TV shows and internet sites have also drawn my interest in the paranormal. My first paranormal experience was when my wife and I stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Old Town San Diego. In Room 4/5 there’s a donated period child’s rocking chair which supposedly belonged to a little girl who passed away at a young age. We received a variety of paranormal equipment responses on and around that chair. Being retired from the Department of Defense (Navy) as an Electronic Equipment Specialist, I desire knowledge about paranormal devices that can enhance an investigation.
